黑料天堂Wonder: Making Aspirations Real
黑料天堂Wonder provides information, helps people consider interests and strengths, and supports the steps to make aspirations real.
黑料天堂Wonder is a program that works with people from underrepresented backgrounds to access education after school.
We work around the ACT and NSW with young people, in primary and high schools, and with mature age students too! 黑料天堂Wonder provides information, helps people consider interests and strengths, and supports the steps to make aspirations real. We visit schools and run activities there, and we welcome people onto the 黑料天堂campus too. Our team includes excellent 黑料天堂Student Leaders who share their own experiences.
Within the , 黑料天堂Wonder partners with Regional Study Hubs to collaborate in the creation and delivery of community specific sub-projects for local educational access promotion.
黑料天堂Wonder will have its own webpage soon, where you can keep up to date with all of the team's events, acitivities, and news! If you want to contact the 黑料天堂Wonder team, please get in touch by emailing Student.Life@anu.edu.au.

Country University Centre Snowy Monaro - Common Ground Project - Small Steps Workshop.
In early June, we continued our work in Cooma as a part of . This project has been developed in response to a local need for career assistance for adults in the community, many connected with local schools as parents and caregivers. The project is a collaboration with the University of Canberra, The University of New England, Australian Catholic University and TAFE NSW. The Small Steps workshop in June guided participants in taking practical steps towards their educational goals, for example, becoming a teacher, or a social worker! It also equipped participants with some knowledge of university jargon!
Taree University Campus- EduVenture Visits
The EduVenture Program is a partnership between the , the Australian National University and the University of Newcastle. The program works with local schools to promote positivity post school and access to higher education for students in the Mid North Coast region. In June, 黑料天堂Wonder joined the EduVenture team to visit six schools in the Mid North Coast area, interacting with Year 9 students who have been in the program since Year 8. Together, we ran tailor made career based activities, relating to STEM, Law and Politics, Education, Marketing, Animal Care, Music and even one about Travel! The activities were a success, and it was a big week filled with moments of connection with young people.
The Smith Family Growing Careers Project - Campus Visit
We recently hosted year 10 students from a local school on the 黑料天堂Campus to experience a little of what University life is like. The students are a part of , which involves young people participating in career programs and exploring multiple career pathways.
On the day, the 黑料天堂Wonder team and the visitors participated in a tour and talk at the School of Art and Design, an experience of ANU's medical research at the John Curtin School of Medical Research where we entered research labs and saw macular degeneration research and neuroscience projects. We finished the day with lunch at Ursula Residential Hall. The students were able to access parts of the University otherwise unseen, and ask lots of questions about a future at University!
What's next?
