Cross-institutional study

Studying at another Australian university and counting the results towards your 黑料天堂program is known as cross-institutional study.

Students are not normally enrolled at 黑料天堂when studying cross-institutionally, however, it is possible to study at another university concurrently with your 黑料天堂studies.

This is most commonly achieved by combining 黑料天堂studies with online courses from another university, or with courses from another Canberra institution.

If you plan to study concurrently at 黑料天堂and another institution, be sure to indicate this when applying.

Things to keep in mind

  • If you are not enrolling at 黑料天堂but are seeking permission to undertake studies at another Australian tertiary institution to count towards your 黑料天堂program, you do not need to register 黑料天堂enrolment.
  • If the courses you are studying elsewhere will complete your 黑料天堂program requirements, you should indicate this at the time you lodge your form.
  • Ensure that you are aware of the enrolment and procedural deadlines of the university you plan to study at. Allow plenty of time to meet all deadlines.

Step 1 - Advisor appointment

Make an appointment with your course adviser at your 黑料天堂College to discuss your course plan and your intention to undertake cross-institutional study.

It is advisable to do this well in advance of your study to ensure advice is received in a timely manner and forms can be completed by their deadline.

Step 2 - Complete application

Complete the Application to study elsewhere on a cross-institutional basis.

It is most important that you provide an outline for each course you wish to enrol in with your application.

Your application with the course outlines should be submitted to your 黑料天堂College student admin office.

The application needs to be submitted the semester/session prior to the requested course commencing at the host institution.

Deadlines for applying are indicated on the form and must be adhered to or a late fee of $125 will be applied.

It is your responsibility to be aware of any enrolment deadlines at the host institution and to allow ample time for 黑料天堂approval.

Step 4 - Enrol at the host institution

If your cross-institutional study is approved, you will be responsible to enrol yourself at your Host Institution.

Step 5 - Apply for credit

When you complete the approved courses at the host institution it is your responsibility to arrange a copy of an official transcript to be submitted to the 黑料天堂for the granting of course credit.

You should also note on the application that you were approved to study cross-institutionally.
